Risk defines size
Max loss is a fixed percentage of your account. The stop distance then determines how large the position can be — so a wider stop simply means a smaller position.
Leverage mode
When margin is isolated, the calculator suggests the leverage at which your stop plus funding corresponds to your chosen risk.
Quantity mode
When margin is shared, it returns the position quantity and the margin that quantity requires at your chosen leverage.
